A bespoke house history, individually researched using archives, maps, census records and historic documents created over 3–6 months and delivered as a beautifully written narrative of a home.
Our Christmas research calendar is now fully booked. But there’s still time to give a gift with a story behind it — our House History Gift Certificates can be purchased now, ready for the recipient to begin their house-history journey in the year ahead.
Christmas may feel a long way away, but for anyone searching for a truly meaningful present of a house history Christmas gift, now is the perfect time to start thinking ahead.
Christmas completion depends on early booking due to research timelines.
A Gift That Can’t Be Bought Off a Shelf
A house history is not something that can be picked from a shelf, wrapped, and bought at the last minute. However, if you’ve left things a little late, our downloadable House History Gift Certificates offer a thoughtful way to give the promise of a bespoke House History Collection this Christmas.
Each one is carefully researched from original historical sources uncovering the people who lived in a home, how it changed over time, and the stories hidden in official records.
It is part detective work, part storytelling, and entirely unique to each property.
A Meaningful Gift That Lasts Beyond Christmas Day
Unlike traditional gifts, a house history doesn’t fade after the holidays.
It becomes:
- A permanent record of a home’s story
- A deeply personal keepsake
- A conversation piece for years to come
- A connection to place, memory, and history
It’s a gift with depth, not disposal.
Christmas House Histories Take Time
Every project is researched from scratch using:
archives, census records, maps, and local historical sources.
Because of this, house histories typically take 3–6 months to complete.
To ensure Christmas delivery, early booking is essential.
A Simple Process, Carefully Handled
- You choose your house history collection
- Research begins using historical archives and records
- The story of the home is written and compiled
- Your completed house history is delivered before Christmas (where timelines allow)
